What to do with my finger?

I went sledding, and say that the sled was not pleasant for the thumb. That landed on it. Immediately I got a pain end and swelled. Today there is a lot of bruises, being at the swelling, and a hell of a lot of pain trying to move slightly. I am able to move, but not much. What should I do? I know that is not broken, but they want to keep moving my finger either. Any suggestions?

Coming from someone who dislocated his thumb and sprained his two thumbs double in many cases, the only way to tell is to go to hospital and get x-rays. Even the first time I dislocated thumb, which was not like her because I could not move, it was just swollen and not even turn purple. But I went anyway and dislocated. So, go to the doctor / hospital and should be checked. Even if it's just a sprain, which still must be completed for you, because you still has soft tissue damage, and if not corrected could cure your bad. Good luck! And take some Motrin for pain and inflammation, use of ice as well.
