Dogsledding question?

It is easier for a dog to pull a sled carrying out 138 pounds the ground (like a smooth road) with a cart with wheels or is easier for a dog to pull a sled 138 pounds of compacted snow exercise? and the dog is a mixture of 60 pounds Australian Cattle Dog, which is very strong

Definitely packed snow. Offers less resistance, less weight (if the factor in the wheels, housing, etc.) and are less likely to overturn or the wheels blocked. The mixture of dog definitely has me curious, so if you race, be sure to post some pictures somewhere, good luck!
