Places to play in the snow close to Portland/Vancouver?

We want to take our two small kids to see some snow – don’t think they are ready for formal “tubing” (i.e. Snow Bunny at Mt. Hood). Does anybody know of an easy place to go – maybe toward Mt. Hood OR Mt. St. Helens? We don’t want to be driving aimlessly but just want to pull them around on the sleds for a bit.
